Steady Steps Nursery and Pre-School.
Our Setting is a non-profit making organisation. We are set up as a Company LTD by Guarantee with charitable status. Originally situated within Gosport Leisure Centre, back in 2006 we received the news that the centre was to be shut for refurbishment. Our practice manager Julie Pickthall set about find us new premises. Project 'Steady Steps' had begun!
Julie secured us a purpose-built modular building with the Rowner schools’ community and in 2008 we welcomed our first cohort as Steady Steps. We have continued to thrive and have grown immensely since then and have just celebrated out 10-year anniversary.
In addition to our Outstanding Ofsted award in 2015, we were voted in June 2018 ‘Outstanding Early Years Team of the Year' ‘or the work we do here at Steady Steps to support the emotional health of children under five.
The Curriculum
As a setting we follow our own Bespoke Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, based on the Development Matters.
